What is reinforced concrete

Reinforced concrete is also called iron concrete. It is a composite material made of concrete and a steel or iron reinforcement which is embedded in the production so that it is stretched when the rat is deformed or loaded. Concrete has high compressive strength but very low tensile strength, therefore reinforced with steel. For reinforced concrete, the reinforcement must be laid so that it is at least 5 cm beneath the concrete surface. You will protect it from corrosion. The structure of the reinforcement must as far as possible prevent the deformation of the concrete panel. In the case of horizontal beams with reinforcement, it is placed at the bottom of the cross section. For vertical structures, the larger part of the reinforcement is around the perimeter of the pillar. Surveillance of construction work is always authorized by an authorized engineer or static. Originally, the reinforced concrete bunkers were also used in the army.
