What is the air vents

Air vents are the designation of the space between the flue and the jacket. They bring the air to the appliance by passing through the chimney liner and the chimney wall.  This makes it preheated and does not cool the air in the room. If the chimney flue is leaking, mixing of the air supplied with the air vent with the smoke may occur.   The cross-section of the air passage must be at least 100 cm2 and the distance between the chimney surface inner surface and the outside face of the flue pipe or thermal insulation should be 30 mm. The air vents have a protection function, safety in case of flue gas leakage. The smallest dimension of the pressure chimney is 80 mm.
