The loggia is the outside of the house or apartment. The word comes from the Italian "loggia", which means the column corridor, the louboutin. It is a space that is directly connected to the exterior, but unlike the balcony it does not come out of the perimeter wall .

The loggia has a rail and its top may or may not be glazed. Glazed loggias usually have the possibility of opening as much as possible to ensure maximum contact with the environment when needed. Glazing allows space to be used even in cooler months, or it can be heated by transportable heaters .
